Biography

The biography for Elizabeth Johnson is empty. What can you add? I was born in San Marcos, Texas and lived in Martindale, Texas until I was about 9. I grew up in Luling, Texas where my parents both taught school. I went to Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches, Texas for 2 years and graduated from the University of Texas Arlington. I married my husband Jim, in Victoria, Texas. I am a retired band director, with 2 teenage children and we live in the beautiful Texas Hill Country.

I started researching my paternal side of the family when my dad told me that he knew very little about his grandfather. I found a box that belonged to my dad's dad full of old letters and the nosey part of me just had to know who these people were. That was about 15 years ago. My mother's sister has researched their side of the family rather extensively after she was diagnosed with cancer in her late 40's. Her doctor asked if cancer ran in the family and she decided to find out.

Hi!

How are you? I'm Shirley, a WikiTree Mentor. Hope you're enjoying our site.

How To Use WikiTree is a good starting point, and the Help Index is an important place to find out how to do most tasks.

If you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info. Do you have Royal Ancestors? Rather than create duplicate profiles for them, please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their profiles.

And I'm here to help too, just ask!

You are now a member of WikiTree! Please help us build one Collaborative Global Family Tree, which means only one profile per person. It's important that no duplicates are created and profiles are properly sourced- if you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info.

To help you get started, view this introductory WikiTree video. For a list of Member benefits, see Community Members page.

We also have Mentors who will be glad to answer questions. Kern Brogan Greeter
