Fred married Margaret Hartry on 16 June 1921 in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada. His marriage record gives his age as 26, his birthplace as Calgary, and his parents as Carl Johnson and Christina Hagstrom, both from Sweden.[1] [2]
