Wallace Johnson Richmond November 25, 2003 Wallace Johnson, 83, of Hickory Dr., formerly of Owsley Co., Ky., passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2003, at the Homestead Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lexington, Ky. He was born December 29, 1919, in Breathitt Co., to the late Joseph and Sophie (McIntosh) Johnson. He was a retired farmer, and a U.S. Navy veteran, having served in WWII. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Helen (Amburgy) Johnson, and one daughter, Gayle Johnson, both of Richmond, and a host of friends and relatives. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy McDaniel. Funeral services will be today at 1 p.m. at the Booneville Funeral Home with Brother Bobby Green officiating. Visitation will be today at the funeral home, beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial, with military rites, will be by the Three Forks VFW Post #11296, in the Shepherd Memorial Cemetery, Booneville, with the Booneville Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers will be Loran and Tye Baker, J.E. Goff, Frank Amburgy, Willis Little and Roy McDaniel
