Biography

Hannah was the wife of Ephraim Allen. She is named in her husband's will of 8 Nov 1726.^[1]

Ephraim's prior wife Elizabeth died around 1724, so he married Hannah likely around 1725-1726. Hannah would not have been the mother of his children as they were born earlier.

Her birth name and date are not certain. She is listed here as Hannah Johnson, born about 1672, but basis for this is not identified. She would have been born before 1710 based on being married in 1726.

Research Notes

There was a Hannah (Howard) Allen married prior to 1776. More research needed before concluding this is same Hannah^[2]. Richard Flanagin, 2/11/2023.
