Biography
John was baptised at St Michael, Flixton, Lancashire, England on 16 August, 1778.
He was a farmer and married Mary Williamson on 2 June, 1806. They lived in Shawtown, Flixton and had 10 children, namely: Alice 12 October 1806, Ann 12 June 1808, Josiah 7 March 1810 - 1889, William 25 April 1812 - 1895, Betty 14 August 1814, John 11 January 1818, Samuel 18 June 1820 - 1899, Thomas 10 Nov 1822 - 1899, Robert John 3 Feb 1828 - 1897, Mary 29 April 1832 - 1845
John died in 1846 and was buried on 25 October at St Michaels, Flixton.
