Sarah Johnson Willis, not to be confused with a previous Willis wife, "Sarah 'Irish Woman' Willis," was born c.1778, parents unknown, in "Washington, Alabama or South Carolina," married Joseph Willis in Bayou Chico, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana in 1808, [citation needed] and died in Bayou Chicot, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana c.1830.
