She was living in Sebago, Cumberland, Maine in 1850, where Martha (age 68) was taking care of the home. Her son Mathew and family were in the home with her.[3]
Martha died at the age of 70, on September 22, 1852 in Sebago Center, Cumberland, Maine, and was buried in the Dyer Cemetery.[1]

Martha Johnson was born in Massachusetts (Bay) State though it was in the rocky northern bit called Maine. so were her children until the last two. Maine became a state in its own right in 1820.
