Biography

Martha A Johnson was born on November 19, 1781 in Limington, York, Maine.[1] She was the daughter of William Johnson and Martha Cater.

She married Daniel Dyer (1780-1838) on November 28, 1804 in Limington, York, Maine.[2] They had 9 children.

  3. Matthew Dyer (1808-abt.1889)
  4. Anthony Dyer (1810-aft.1850)
  5. Martha Dyer (1813-)
  6. Simeon Dyer (1817-1880)
  7. Lemuel Dyer (1817-1885)
  8. Daniel J. Dyer (abt.1822-bef.1898)
  9. Sybil Ann Dyer (1823-1891)

She was living in Sebago, Cumberland, Maine in 1850, where Martha (age 68) was taking care of the home. Her son Mathew and family were in the home with her.[3]

Martha died at the age of 70, on September 22, 1852 in Sebago Center, Cumberland, Maine, and was buried in the Dyer Cemetery.[1]

Martha Johnson was born in Massachusetts (Bay) State though it was in the rocky northern bit called Maine. so were her children until the last two. Maine became a state in its own right in 1820.
