Susan Johnston, daughter of the Rev. John Johnston, Rector of Clondevadogue, in the diocese of Raphoe, in 1733 married the Rev. John Gage, Prebendary of Aghadowey, co. Londonderry.
Research Notes
The birthplace name is the present spelling and the placename in the biography is an older alternate one, according to the co. Donegal website page. My source spells it the older way. Given that there were two languages spoken, Gaelic and English, and two population classes; English/Scotch plantation owners and the actual Irish people; I think it appropriate to use both.
I need to source the barony name and learn how to categorize but I'll go back to the Ireland projects team so I will do that their way. Gage-2068 06:16, 6 July 2018 (UTC)

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Susanna by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Susanna:
I just cleared-up birthplace name and added marriage location. I hope this is the merged Johnston-550 -- should be. There are 4 children listed but I'm pretty sure she/they had 4 boys and 8 girls. Burke's Irish Fam. Records 1976 has that I think.
