Biography

Sarah was born in 1865, the daughter of William Johnston and Elizabeth Steacy.

She was born on August 8, 1865 in Kitley Township, Leeds County, Canada West. Birth registration would not begin until 1869, so her date of birth is taken from the 1901 Census.

Sarah married Ambrose Logan in 1889. Their marriage record reads:

Ambrose Logan, 25, residing and born in Kitley, bachelor, farmer, son of Ambrose and Nancy Logan, married

Sarah M. Johnston, 22, residing and born in Kitley, spinster, daughter of William and Elizabeth Johnston,

On February 13, 1889, in Smiths Falls, Ontario.

Together they had the following children:

Ambrose and Sarah were buried at Maple Vale Cemetery, in Smiths Falls, Ontario.
