Biography
Obituary
Zada I. Lines, 96, of Curry Run, RD1, Mahaffey, died Wednesday, May 23, 1990, at her home. A Protestant by faith, she was born Nov. 4, 1893, in Greenwood Township, the daughter of Harry and Millie (Wiley) Johnston. She married Otis R. Lines on August 18, 1914, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by three sons: Robert, Joseph and Richard, two sisters, and three brothers. Surviving is one son William O., Lines of Grampian, five daughters: Esther Derrick of Mahaffey, Marion Wall of Warren, Nellie Clyde of Mahaffey, and Josephine Saxe of Mahaffey, one sister; Ellis Varrett of Curwensville, 22 grandchildren, many great- granchildren, and 7 great- great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday May 25 at 2 p.m. from the T.G. McCracken Funeral Home, Mahaffey, with the Rev. Gordon Snyder and Rev. M. Bruce Dimmick officiating. Interment will follow at the Friends Cemetery, Grampian. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and from 8 a.m. until the time of service Friday. [1]
