Biography

Isaac Johnston was born inClarendon Township about 1838. He was the son of Thompson Johnston and Nancy Moore.

Isaac Johnston was born in Austin, Quebec on March 7, 1835 and departed this life at his daughter's home, Mrs. John Sturgeon, Campbell's Bay, Quebec on December 22, 1926 at the age of ninety-one years, 8 months, 15 days. He was married to Eliza A. Brazier in 1860, who passed away in 1890. To this union were born 14 children, eight of whom are deceased. Surviving children are Thomas of Austin, Robert of Ottawa, Frank of Three Forks, Montana, John of South Porcupine, Mrs. Robert Wilkie of Detroit, Michigan and Mrs. John Sturgeon of Campbell's Bay. Funeral service held in Connectional Methodist Church, Shawville, Quebec on December 24. Body laid away Clarendon Front Cemetery.^[1]
