Biography

Anne Johnston was born in Little Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire in 1907, the eldest of four children of Charles Johnston and Pleasance Johnston. She married first Howard Carter in 1928 and they had four children. They were divorced in 1938 and Anne married second, Terence Sharp, by whom she had two children. After Sharp's death in 1971, Anne married third, Harry Hall in 1974. She died in 1997, aged 89.
