Matilda Jones was born about 1807 to parents Willis Jones and Frankie Florence.
US Census 1860 Mrs. M. Peteet, Darius, Kittie, Artemeria and overseer A. Hawkins were living next to T. H. and Margaret Greer Wright.
Matilda Jones Peteet died in 1901 in Upshur County, Texas and is buried in the Jones Cemetery at Diana. [1]
