Another correction suggestion- place of marriage: Newark is a town in New Castle, DE, not a county :)

Michael, one piece of proof is "National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in the State of Delaware. Historical Research Committee. A Calendar of Delaware Wills, New Castle County, 1682-1800. New York: F.H. Hitchcock, 1911. Print. Page 41" which is attached as a source to Mary's mother, Esther (Morgan) Jones. I may have gathered more. Please feel free to PM me so we can continue. Thanks!

From her birth year it would seem probable that she was married earlier. If there is information connecting her to George Brown, please share. Thank you.

I believe that Mary's first husband was George Brown who died in 1745. I'd enjoy exploring this further for the possible connection to my own Brown ancestry.
