The son , William, of John Jones rector of St Nicholas Acon was baptised in St Nicholas Acon on August 1st 1620 https://archive.org/details/registerbookpar00pargoog/page/n28

And married Ann Reynolds of Stepney in the same church Jan 3rd 1653.

What evidence is given for linking this William Jones as the son of the rector of St Nicholas Acon? (The preceding generations on this tree are also a mess & unsupported. Liz shifflett has already added a source from the same register to Rev. John Jones’ profile, showing that the mother of the rector was named Rachell; which is probably why the rector had a daughter called Rachell.) William A.Jones seems to be of unknown origin & should probably be detached from the rector & his wife.

William Jones and Ruth Colledge are my Generation One in America: I had always wondered why a person from an apparently well-to-do and middle class or above family such as the Jones/Vassall Family would be transported across the ocean and become an indentured servant. The record does not explain it, but from the death dates of his parents, John and Anna, he was apparently an orphan by the age of six years. It would seem like another related family would have taken him in to raise, but, that does not seem to be the case. This is of course, only speculation on my part.
