Margaret Jones was bapt. 12 Nov 1590 at Bridgwater, Somerset, daughter of William Jones and wife Jane (Bishop) Jones.^[1]

Margaret Jones and Roger Leathland were married at Bridgwater, co. Somerset, 11 Feb 1604/5 ,^[1][2]

Margaret made her will 31 Aug 1654.^[1]

The Will of Margaret Leachland of Chard, co. Somerset, widow, was dated 31 Aug 1654, and proved 22 July 1655. Besides other bequests she names the following children: Jane Thorne, Margaret Turner, Alice Darby, Thomas Leachland and grandchildren: Margaret and Joan Thorne, Alice Leachland.^[3]

• Thomas of Chard, merchant, b. about 1616, age 7 1623. bur Topsham, co. Devon 3 Sep 1669. He was executor of his mother's will proved k22 July 1655. He was involved in litigation with his sister Alice and Richard Derby^[1]
• Alice. b. before 6 Feb 1620/1 mentioned in her father's will and living 12 Feb 1654/5. Married Richard Derby, mercer. They were parents of Roger Derby the immigrant.^[1]
