Biography

Robert Jones was the son of Thomas Jones and his wife Diana. He was named in Thomas's will made in February 1777, in Washington County, Virginia.^[1]

Research Notes

Robert is the second son named in his father's will. The will provides that if any of the children "shall Die in their minority" then that child's share will go to the others, implying that all of the children were still minors when the will was made in February 1777. This would be inconsistent with the birth year of 1745 contained in this profile. --McClain-3310 22:05, 27 May 2021 (UTC)
