Alice (Jones) Giles was born in the Colony of Victoria (1851-1900)
Birth
Alice was born in 1861 and her birth registered in 1862. Her birth is recorded with her sa the daughter of Charles Jones and Susannah Osborne.[1] NOTE: Ancestry FAmily tree information has her parents as Robert Carrington aka Charles Edward Jones, and mother Susannah Osborne).
Marriage
Alice Jane Jones married in 1879 at Ballarat in Victoria when she was nearly 18 years of age. [2]
Death
She passed away in 1955, at Queen Elizabeth home in Ballarat. Her age is recorded as 96. Her parents names are recorded on the death index as "Charles Jones" and "Susan Mason'. Birth place Ballarat and spouse name not listed[3]
Burial
Alice is buried at Creswick Cemetery in the Methodist section. [4]

There is no explanation for he different names of her mother between birth and death registrations. Also there is a secondary Alice Jane Jones who married in 1872 .
