Biography

The first child of Johnnie Jones and Ellen Hadwin. She was united in marriage to Jasper T. Zorn son of M.K. Zorn of the Denmark area. They live in Denmark. J. T. and Daisy purchased a home from and built by L. S. Jones, Daisy's first cousin, after J.T. was transferred to the Atlanta area. They had three children. Daisy is buried at Denmark Cemetery.


MRS. J. T. ZORN DENMARK - Mrs. Daisy Jones Zorn, 68, wife of J. T. Zorn, died Tuesday morning in the Orangeburg Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held today at Denmark Cemetery. Mrs. Zorn was born Nov. 2, 1903 in Bamberg County, the daughter of the late Johnny Jones and Ellen Hadwin Jones. She was a Baptist. Surviving in addition to her husband are: two daughters, Mrs. J. Mack Prozeaux and Mrs. Joanne Still, both of Denmark; a brother, Henry T. Jones of Blackville; six sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Bowers and Mrs. Roy Sharpe, both of Columbia, Mrs. L. L. Cheek of Barnwell, Mrs. Blease Harley of Orangeburg, Mrs. Lloyd Hunter of Charleston and Mrs. Robert Jones of Sumter; and three grandchildren. Evening Post, Charleston, SC; Wednesday, Jan 19, 1972
