She was the daughter of Akin Jones (1827 - 1900) and Mary Mason (1829 - 1904). ^{[citation needed]}

Lillie Jane Jones married Alfred R. Biddle (1850 - 1917) on 3 Feb 1876 in Maroa, Illinois. ^[1]
They had 3 children.

Bertha Florence (Biddle) Bethards (1878 - 1912) was born 1878 in Le Roy, Illinois. ^[2]

Died in Storm Lake, Iowa, Nov. 21, 1888, Lillie J., wife of A.R Biddle, aged 32 years, 3 months and 27 days.

Lillie J. Jones was born near Marietta, Iowa July 21, 1850; was married to A.R. Riddle February 3, 1870, near Maron, Illinois, and with her husband came to Storm Lake in 1891. She united with the Christian church at the ago of seventeen and in life as in death she held to the promises of her Savior. During her long and painful sickness she was ever cheerful and her faith grew stronger until the end.

She leaves her husband and two bright little girls to mourn a loss which is beyond human power to estimate and none but those who have been so bereaved can fully comprehend.

The funeral was held on Friday and amidst many flowers and by loving hands her earthly tabernacle was laid to rest.
