Mildred Thweatt m. Kennon Jones who died in 1826. Mildred Jones calling herself daughter of Henry Thweatt deceased and widow of Kennon Jones made a deed of gift in Dinwiddie Co. on 12 June 1835 to the following children: Henry; John S. ; Robert H ; Mary Ann Grigg; Kennon; and James Jones. According to the Bible records of John S. Jones, Mildred Thweatt Jones died 12 Aug. 1839, and her only daughter Mary Ann Jones Grigg died on 14 May 1847. The present whereabouts of the Bible itself are unknown.
From other sources Mary Ann Jones had married in 1831 Dr. Thomas Burwell Grigg of Dinwiddie Co. and had four children by him. Dr. Grigg moved to Montgomery Co. Alabama in 1834. Of the sons of Kennon and Mildred Thweatt Jones, Robert Hardaway Jones (1807-1874) married Seigniora Banister Archer (1817-1881) and moved to Mississippi. (Records of Mrs. W.
