Biography

U.S. Southern Colonies Project logo
Lucretia (Jones) Childers was a Virginia colonist.

Lucretia Jones was born in 1685 in Henrico County, Virginia, the child of Thomas Jones and Martha Tanner. She died in 1727 in Henrico County, Virginia, at the age of 42.

She married Henry B Childers I on September 15, 1708, in Henrico County, Virginia. They had eight children during their marriage. (The original list of eight children included Ann Childers, Ann Nancy Childers and Mary Childers. Ann Nancy is apparently a duplicate of Ann and has been removed. Henry's will names only four daughters Lucretia, Anne, Martha, and Millicent. There is no daughter named Mary. So she has been removed as well.)
