Amelia was born about 1844, the daughter of Evan Frederick Jones and Mary Harding.
Amelia married in 1866 to William Robert Emms, mariner.[1]
Marriage Notice: Emms—Jones.—March 31, at Nelson, by the Rev. W. Kirk, Mr. Wm. Robert Emms, Nelson, to Amelia Emma, eldest daughter of Mr. E. F. Jones.[2]
They settled in Nelson had 9 children during their marriage.
In 1902, Amelia died aged 58[3] at Nelson Hospital and is buried at Wakapuaka cemetery. BLK 1 PLOT 009 WESLEYAN.
