Biography

Harmon Lafayette Jones was born December 14, 1837 in White County, Tennessee to parents John Russell Jones and Matilda Dildine.

He married Lucy White on September 2, 1862 in White County, Tennessee.

A Harmon L Jones served in the Civil War on the Confederate side and is listed as Twenty-second Battalion, Infantry, D-Y.

Their children include William Francis, John Houston, and Waymon Mansfield, and Samantha Ann.

Harmon Lafayette Jones died May 30, 1894 in White County, Tennessee. He is probably buried in New Hope cemetery.
