I have an 1850 US Federal census image from New York (Steuben County, Jasper Township, image 32 of 42) that lists William R. Jones (age 32, born in New Jersey), wife Rachael (age 26, born in New York) and children Francis (age 6) and Mary A (age 1). I am curious what befell Francis. The next household listed is Morgan Benaway (age 29) and the next household after that is Ezekiel Beneway and wife (hard to read, maybe...) Annis. As I mentioned, Rachel's maiden name was Beneway; I presume these are her brother and parents, respectively. I have a wonderful photograph of the Hattie, Mattie, Carrie, and Ida which I would be willing to share if you are interested. My grandmother, now age 93, was raised by Carrie and her husband Noah and has many recollections of this family that I will also share if you are interested.
