Vincent Jones served in the American Revolution: Served 2 tours in 1782 as a soldier in military units of the Elk Creek District, then Montgomery County, Virginia. First tour, served under Capt. Compare this profile with Jones-50482 (Vincent Jones (abt.1745-abt.1817)). They are either the same person, or need to be carefully distinguished. I think there is a document with birth date 1745/1755, where the handwriting/transcription is debatable, so you see those two dates for the same person.
