Ed Jones died in October 1915, he was my grandfather. My father was five years old when his father died of a heart attack. He left my grandmother Mary Elizabeth Smith-Jones and five sons.

Ed worked for the National Ice Cream Company in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky. He and his family lived in Bardstown, Nelson County, Kentucky. Ed would take the train on Sunday night from Bardstown to Louisville. He reversed his commute every Friday evening. My father talked about going with his older brothers to meet the train every Fraiday. As they walked home, they would talk about the events in their lives.
