By 1930, his family had moved to Kissimmee, Osceola County, Florida. This move may have been as a result of his father's profession as a Baptist minister[5]
He and Lois Taylor were married in Canal Point, Florida on 15 October 1938 by Rev M O Slawson of Canal Point. Their marriage license had been granted earlier that day at the courthouse in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach County, Florida.[6]
The couple lived in Palm Beach County for a while. They had a son around July 1939[1] and another born around 1945.[2]
He passed away on 14 August 1980 in Jackson County, North Carolina. He was buried in Rigelawn[sic], Clewiston, Hendry County, Florida.[4]
