Sarah Jones wed Ephraim G. C. Hughey January 1, 1835 in Coweta County, Georgia as seen in an image of the original marriage register.^[1]

S Hughey was enumerated at 42 District, Henry County, Georgia for the September 25, United States Census, 1850. She was noted as born 1818 in Georgia as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are male E G C Hughey, male H Hughey, female M A M Hughey, male J P Hughey, male T M Hughey, male J T Hughey, female C Hughey and female W N Hughey.^[2]

Sarah Hughey was enumerated at Post Office Jonesboro, Northern District, Clayton County, Georgia for the June 17, United States Census, 1860. She was noted as born 1813 in Georgia. She was marked as not being able to read or write as seen in the image of the original census.
