Biography

Alexander Jones was born on 15 Aug. 1846 in Jamestown, Greene County, Ohio.[1]

He appeared on the census of 23 July 1850 in the home of his parents at Xenia, Greene County, Ohio.[2]

He married Phoebe Jane Holderman, probably about 1872. Phoebe died in 1894.[1]

He was a farmer when he and Phoebe appeared on the census of 24 June 1880 at Harrison, Montgomery County, Ohio.[3]

He was a carpenter and a widower when he appeared on the census of 1 June 1900 at Miami Township, Montgomery County, Ohio.[4]

He married Martha Jane Dearth.[1]

Alexander died on 30 Sep. 1937 at Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio and was buried at Plot: Section 1, Row 7, Grave 14, Evergreen Cemetery, West Carrollton City, Montgomery County, Ohio. His grave is between those of his two wives. His memorial has a photo of his headstone and links to those of family members.[1]
