Biography
Mildred (Jones) Merryman was the daughter of Frank Jones a farmer in Washinton, both he and her mother were also born in Washington.
Mildred was a graduate of Eastern College of Education and the University of Washington. She had been a teacher before moving to Portland, Oregon to work as a secretary for an insurance company. She and John wre taking their meals at Mrs. McCredie's boarding house when they met in Portland.
Mildred Jones married John Davenport Merryman in August 1943 in Madison, Wisconsin. They had three daughters, Susan born 1944, Barbara born 1948, Nancy born in 1956.
