Nils Jonsson föddes den 1 september 1712 i Åbyn. Hans föräldrar var Jonas Nilsson (f.1677-03 Åbyn, d.1733-02-12 Åbyn 10, Burträsk) och hans hustru Brita Israelsdotter (f.1680 Burträsk, d.1723 Åbyn 10, Burträsk).
Han gifte sig 1734 i Burträsk med Katarina Johansdotter (Tjärnberg, döpt 1712-11-21 i Tjärn, Skellefteå lfs.).
I första giftet fick han sonen Johan.
Han gifte sig andra gången 1738 i Burträsk med Malin Johansdotter, (född 1713-12-01 i Mjödvattnet, Burträsk).
De fick sonen Hans, [född 1751-04-03 i Åbyn, död 1798-11-28 i Åbyn 11. Gift 1780-01-16 i Burträsk med Katarina Nilsdotter, född 1753-11-05 i Åbyn 15, Burträsk, Barn: Kristina Hansdotter, född 1798-09-13, död 1865-05-18].
Nils Jonsson avled den 26 augusti 1772 i Åbyn.
