Biography
Aslak Jonsson Aspen was a squire. His origins are unknown. He is mentioned in sources from 1443, and must be dead before 1663. He was wealthy and owned several farms in addition to Aspa. He was married to "Fru Gro", a title which indicates that she most likely was of noble birth. Aslak is not indicated as a noble in the sources, so it is possible that Gro was married to a knight before marrying Aslak.
Married to Gro. Children:
- Torgerd Aslaksdotter, Married to Torfinn and they had the son Aslak Torfinnson and a daughter Sissel.
- Elena Aslaksdotter, married to Niklas and they had the son Jon Niklasson known as Jon Lagmann in Trondheim.
- Jorann Aslaksdotter, married to Trond Thoraldeson Hvit. Took over Aspa farm.
- Gunnhild Aslaksdatter, married to Arne Sigurdsson.
