James Franklin Jordan told his family that his grandfather, [Henry A. Jordan's father=William], was Scotch-Irish, born in Ireland, came to America as an indentured servant after 1776, and landed in Charleston, South Carolina [Researchers currently think that he might have meant Charlestown, Maryland as there is a William Jordan aboard the Randolph that sailed from Devon. I don't believe he is the same as the William from NC.
