I and many researchers have researched Henry A Jordan for many years and have never seen the information that his mother was Delilah or that his father William was from North Carolina. The William Jordan who we believe was his father was living next door to Henry in 1840 Neshoba County, MS, age 70-80.

James Franklin Jordan told his family that his grandfather, [Henry A. Jordan's father=William], was Scotch-Irish, born in Ireland, came to America as an indentured servant after 1776, and landed in Charleston, South Carolina [Researchers currently think that he might have meant Charlestown, Maryland as there is a William Jordan aboard the Randolph that sailed from Devon. I don't believe he is the same as the William from NC.

Would you please consider removing these parents until proof can be found? No evidence has been found of sisters and brothers for Henry A. Jordan either. Please review the research note evidence in this profile.

Thank you, Eleanor Colson
