Foulke Jordan was born in Worcester, Worcestershire, England.
Birth
Foulke Jordan was born in 1609 in England, son of Edward Jordan and Elizabeth Broughton. He was baptised[1] on 12 Jan 1609, son of Edward Jorden, in Worcester, Worcestershire, England.
Foulke inherited his father Edward's book shop and horses etc in Worcester in 1637 when his father and mother died of the Black Plague.
First Marriage
No records of a first wife have been found but the children's dates of birth suggest a marriage in 1645.
There are children with baptismal records showing Foulke as father:
Elizabeth[2] baptised 20 January 1646 in Worcester
There is a marriage[6] to Joanna Hooper 5 Nov 1664 in Leigh-With-Bransford, Worcester, England. Joanna had previously been married (she was a widow) so we do not know her surname at birth.
No further children have been identified.
Death
A death of 1679 is given in an Ancestry Tree but without a source.
Research Notes
There is a brother William noted in some records. The birth date is too close to Foulke so there is either conflation or an error. The profiles have been merged.

Jordan-3337 and Jordan-1740 appear to represent the same person because: The birth date given for William is only 6 months from that given for his brother Foulke. Foulke is the eldest son recognised in his father's will. There is no mention of a William. I suspect that there has been some conflation between the two. The birth dates are 12 Jul 1608 and
12 Jan 1609. There is no additional data for William and no death date.
There seems no point in keeping a William as a child. Maybe he was known at the time as William Foulke Jordan, as Foulke is his father-in-laws name.
It seems most likely that there are only 10 children. Can we merge William (Jordan-3337) into Foulke (Jordan-1740). The given baptism date for William is
12 July 1608. The given date for Foulke is 12 Jan 1609. The parents were not married till 10 July 1608. Either way, William and Foulke's births are too close to each other - so there is a problem. The indications that it is William that is wrong are the birth date, lack of a death date and the fact that Edward does not mention Wiliam in his will, leaving everything of substance to Foulke. If none objects I will initiate a merge.
