Biography

Jane (Jordan) Andrews immigrated to New England as a child during the Puritan Great Migration (1621-1640).

Birth

Jane Jordan was born in 1622 in England.[1] Her father was Stephen Jordan.[2] The identity of her mother is unknown. Some genealogies identify her as Susanna or Susanna Peacock of Denham (Buckinghamshire), England, but there is no evidence for this.

Marriage

Jane married John Andrews before 1646. Together they had at least 5 children:[2]

  1. Elizabeth Andrews
  2. John Andrews
  3. Joseph Andrews
  4. Thomas Andrews
  5. William Andrews

Death

She died after 1705 (the date of her husband's will), probably in Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts.[2]

Some genealogies give an exact death date of 20 April 1708 in Ipswich.[citation needed]
