It has been suggested by Alexander Brown that Samuel Jordan was married more than once^[1] and other historians believe he had three sons born in England by a first wife, which this profile represents: Robert, Samuel and Thomas.^[2][3]

• No record of a marriage between Samuel Jordan and an unknown wife in that time period in the England parish registers from 1538 on FindMypast.
• Also looked on the Wiltshire family History Society site for information on a Jordan marrying a Fleming or a Baker and no records were found there.
• The only Jordan to marry a Baker in England 1605-1615 was a Hugh Jordan marrying a Joan Baker on 9 August 1607 in Nunney, Somerset. findmypast. No Jordan married a Fleming during that time period. MacLeod-1797 21:46, 6 June 2020 (UTC)
