Biography
Ellen attended school in Sturgis and then, after trying some nursing schools, went to Black Hills Teacher's College in Spearfish, South Dakota. After graduation, she taught at the country school in Pleasant Valley, South Dakota. After marrying Morris and moving to the Meeteeste area, she taught at the Arapahoe Indian Reservation.
