Mercy Joyce and Courtney Babbidge II were married in 1804 in Deer Isle, Hancock County, Maine, USA. Married by Joseph Tyler, Esq. Courtney Babbidge II, son of Stephen D. Babbidge and Hannah Staples, was born on 23 June 1781 in Deer Isle, Hancock County, Maine, USA. He died on 3 May 1856 at the age of 74 in Ellsworth, Hancock County, Maine, USA. He was buried in John Smith Family cemetery, Ellsworth. Came to Swan's Island before 1812. Later moved to Harrington and then to West Trenton.
