Myrill Clayton Judy, son of William V. and Mary E Thomas Judy, was born January 3, 1924[1] at Marseilles, Illinois.
He was raised in Marseilles and graduated from Broadview Academy in 1942. He was attending Washington Missionary College in Tacoma Park, Maryland, when he was drafted into the U.S. Army where he served our country during World War II. [2]
He married Muriel Verdell Fogarty in 1947, and was later united in marriage with Carolyn Ann (Miller) Weidemann on February 9, 1975.
He and Carolyn were members of the Senior Citizens Club of Hawkeye. Clayton was also a founding member and head elder of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Prairie Du Chein, Wisconsin.[2]
Clayton was employed as a salesman by Old Dutch Cleanser, traffic manager/dispatcher for Owens Illinois Glass Company and Argo Products, a pre-press composer for Ever-Redi Printing, a service tech for Complete Vending Service of Chicago, and did private duty nursing in the suburbs of Chicago and Florida.
He served the last fifteen years of his life as chaplain of the Arnold Rogers Post #312, American Legion of Hawkeye, Iowa. [2]
Clayton's death occurred on Tuesday, May 29, 2012[1], at home, the Miller Family Farm near Hawkeye. He was eighty-eight years old.
In addition to his wife, Carolyn of Hawkeye, he is survived by four sons, M. Clayton (Donna) Judy of North Port, Florida, Gary (Marcia) Judy of Monmouth, Illinois, Tom (Tracy) Weidemann of Schaumburg, Illinois, and Tim (Muriel) Weidemann of Carson City, Nevada, twelve grandchildren, Lundie (John) Pinner, Kendra (Troy) Merry, Breanna Judy, Alison (Marco) Lopez, Michael Weidemann, Cory (Nancy) McBride, Jamie Weidemann, Zachary Weidemann, Erin Weidemann, Amy (Roger) Gibson, Danny Rees, and Maggie Rees; thirteen great grandchildren, Drew and Skyler Merry, Jack Pinner, Alex Lopez, Tommy, Anna, Carter, and Lily Weidemann, Ezekiel and Luke Gibson, and Isabella, Madeline, and Sophia McBride; and two brothers, William (Irma) Judy and Danny (Sherri) Halverson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, and a sister." [2]
