A primary source of information for this family came from a bible originally belonging to William Wiatt (1752-1800), and wife, Catherine Julian, of Fredericksburg, Virginia.

A good transcription of the family bible can be seen at this website:

Additional information came from family records that were maintained through the mid 1950s.

Catherine Julian was a daughter of Charles Julian.

I believe she was the sister of Dr. John Julian, who had charge of the State Hospital in that city during the American Revolution. See Fredericksburg in Revolutionary Days (William and Mary College Quarterly xxvii pp. 74, 77-80).

from "Old Waco" at find-a-grave (https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=80744521).

Catherine "Kitty" Julian was born circa 1756, a daughter of Charles Julian, Esq. and Phebe Wilson Julian.

Kitty Julian, a sister of John Julian, MD and James Julian who are also buried in the Masonic Cemetery, married William Wiatt of Fredericksburg, VA on Jan. 11, 1776. The marriage was officiated by the Rev. James Marye.

The family Bible of William Wiatt and his son Francis Julian Wiatt was still in existence in 1938 when a W. P. A. of Virginia Historical Survey was done on the "Tinder House" (site of Charles Julian's Home). The house was located at 1101 Caroline or Sophia Street, Fredericksburg, VA.

Listed under Sources of Information was Mr. William Alexander Julian [1870-1949] who served as the 28th Treasurer of the U. S. He states he was "a direct descendant of this family of Julians."
