Heinrich (Jung) Young migrated from Germany to USA.

Heinrich Jung, son of Conrad Jung and Catharina Steinmetz, was born on 6 July 1820 in Siefersheim, Rheinhessen, Grand Duchy of Hessen, German Confederation (now Siefersheim, Alzey-Worms, Rheinland-Pfalz, Federal Republic of Germany). ^{[1] [2]}

In July 1820 Heinrich was baptised in the village church, built around the year 1200, ^[3] and still functioning today.

Built as a Catholic church dedicated to Saint Martin, after the Reformation it became a Simultankirche, that is, a church used by both Lutherans and Catholics alike, albeit at different times. This situation was quite common in the Kurpfalz. In Siefersheim the village church was shared until about 1904, when the Catholics built a new St. Martin Church, leaving the old church to the Protestants.

On 22 August 1834 Heinrich Henri Jung, fourteen years old, arrived aboard the ship Normandie at New York City. ^[4] In the United States he would eventually become known as Henry Young.

In 1840 Heinrich wed Ann Elizabeth Foist. They had the following children:

1. Lydia A. (Young) Rooke, born abt 1845;
2. George H. Young, b. abt 1847;
3. Darwin C. Young, b. abt 1849;
4. Mary E. (Young) Rodenbach, b. abt 1851;
5. Charles F. Young, b. abt 1853.

In 1860 Henry Young is recorded as being fourty years of age and living in Galen, Wayne county, New York; in his household are listed his wife Ann E. Young and their five children. ^[5]

Heinrich Jung (also known as Henry Young) died on 17 October 1904 in Wayne county, New York, and was buried at Elmwood Cemetery, Lyons, Wayne, New York, United States. ^{[6] [7]}
