Franz Kaiser Jr (1949 - 2013)

He was very easy going, with a cheeky streak! He was a very hard worker and was a carpenter by trade. He also owned a furniture business for over 30 years. He could build anything out of timber and his hands were like magic! He called everyone "smiley" or "kid". He was kind and thoughtful and loved the most simplest of things in life. As a young adult, he had a pet sausage dog. He named her "sexy legs", sexy for short! I remember the dog used to get out and mum would be calling out down the street "sexy!, sexy!" And my dad was standing in the front yard laughing! He played lead guitar in a rock n roll band and sang. I remember going to gigs and performing at festivals with him. He drove a combi van which was loaded with all his tools for building houses and he built a massive house which took him 15 years to complete while working as a carpenter, running a furniture business and raising a family of 3 children! He built many things for charity, the fire brigade and local council. He loved to travel to Thailand in winter for the warm climate there and his favourite was to see the elephants and monkeys. Unfortunately, while in Thailand, someone spiked his drink to rob him. It caused a heart attack and he passed away. I brought him back home to Australia where he now rests. He was a very special grandad and an awesome dad who you could talk to and tell him anything. He was always happy and had a smile. As his favourite saying goes "she'll be right kid"
