Biography
Sept. 21, 1742, a Fredrich Kauffman landed in Philadelphia from ship Frances and Mary. The tax roll for Donegal Twp., Lancaster Co., Pa., show him in 1757 taxed 15 shillings. Tradition speaks of him coming from Switzerland, and serving in his community as a Mennonite minister
