• Disputed Marriage [Duncan-1203 | Charles Duncan] -- to Sarah Kavanaugh , daughter of Philomine, has been disproved by a lawsuit filed in the Fredricksburg Court of Virginia (Spotsylvania Co). This lawsuit indicates that:
  

Sarah Kavanvaugh had only one husband, Francis Strother,

Sarah had only one child, a son named John, and

"John, who after the death of his mother vizi about year 1774 or 1775 left this Country and has never since be heard of-that the said Sarah died before the said Francis; that the plaintiff Charles Cavanaugh is the eldest Brother of the said Sarah and the Heir of said John Strother on the part of his mother; that the land is part of the--?-- of 1,520 acres with the mill mentioned and alloted to Sarah as her share of land."... ^[1]

Biography

Sarah was born about 1742. Sarah was the child of Philemon Kavanaugh and Ann Williams.

Sarah was married to Francis Strother (parents unknown) about 1762. They had one child, John Strother, who left the country about 1775.

Sarah died about 1774-1775.
