Biography

Abigail Keen was born on 19 January 1779 in Fairhaven, Bristol, Massachusetts, a daughter of Ebenezer Keen and Hannah Cole. (birth place is noted on death record and birth date is in FindaGrave memorial and various Sons of the American Revolution applications.)

Abigail is a descendant of Mayflower passengers Thomas Rogers and Stephen Hopkins.[1]

Abigail is named in the will of her father, Ebenezer.[2]

Abigail married William Gammons on 14 October 1797 in New Bedford, Bristol, Massachusetts.[3]

In the 1850 census Abigail (age 71) was in Fairhaven, Bristol, Massachusetts.[4]

In the 1855 census Abigail (age 77) was in Fairhaven, Bristol, Massachusetts.[5]

Abigail, child of Eben Keene & Hannah Keene, died (age 82) on 1 May 1860 in Acushnet, Massachusetts, United States.[6]

Abigail died on 1 May 1860 and was buried in Long Plain Cemetery, Acushnet, Bristol County, Massachusetts.[7]
