Biography

Fayette M. Keene was born on 6 Sep. 1875 near Roscoe, Sullivan County, New York, USA.[1] He appeared on the census of 21 June 1880 in the household of his parents, Gilbert Keene and Emma Louise (Rose) Keene, at Rockland, Sullivan County, New York.[2]

He married Edna Mary Maney[1], daughter of Leartus W. Maney and Maggie V. (Decker) Maney, circa 1899.[3]

He was a farmer when he and Edna Mary appeared on the census of 18 June 1900 at Rockland, Sullivan County, New York.[3] Edna died in 1906 and he appeared on the census of 26 Apr 1910 in the household of her parents at Rockland, Sullivan County, New York.[4]

He married Gladys Decker, daughter of Frank Decker and Minnie (Lockwood) Decker, on 4 Jan. 1915 at Ulster Co., New York.[5]

He witnessed the marriage of Ruth Bull Connor and his son, Gilbert Leartus Keene, on 12 July 1919 at Middletown, Orange County, New York.[6]

Fayette died on 7 Jan. 1923 at Binghamton State Hospital, Binghamton, Broome County, New York, USA, at age 47 and was buried at Orchard Street Cemetery, Livingston Manor, Sullivan County, New York.[1] His memorial has the years of his birth and death.[7]
