Biography

Minnie Keene was born on 23 Aug. 1868 at Roscoe, Sullivan County, New York, USA.^[1] She appeared on the census of 27 Aug. 1870 in the household of her parents, Gilbert Keene and Emma Louise (Rose) Keene at Rockland, Sullivan Co., New York.^[2] She appeared on the census of 21 June 1880 in the household of her parents at Rockland, Sullivan Co., New York.^[3]

She married Asa Edwin Steenrod, son of Edwin Ruthwin Steenrod and Elizabeth Polina (Misner) Steenrod, on 29 May 1889 at Livingston Manor, Sullivan County, New York.^[1]

She and Asa appeared on the census of 18 June 1900 at Rockland, Sullivan Co., New York.^[4] She and Asa appeared on the census of 3 Jan. 1920 at Rockland, Sullivan Co., New York.^[5] She and Asa appeared on the census of 14 April 1930 at Rockland, Sullivan Co., New York.^[6] She and Asa appeared on the census of 23 April 1940 at Jacktown Rd., Rockland, Sullivan Co., New York.^[7]

Minnie died on 18 Oct. 1940 at Livingston Manor, Sullivan County, New York, at age 72.^[1] Asa died in 1940 as well, he was buried at Cooks Falls Cemetery, according to Find A Grave, but Minnie is not listed.
