Biography

Adam was born about 1700, possibly in Baldenheim where his father was a citizen and where Adam married. He was the son of Jean Kuhner and his wife Christine. He passed away about 1762, probably in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, where he was living at the time and where his will (written in High Dutch) was probated.

Marriage

Adam married Anna Barbara Siegrist on 24 Nov 1721 in Baldenheim, Bas-Rhin, Alsace, France. [1]

Translation:

24 Nov 1721. On the 14th of the same month, published for the first time, and married on the following 24th, Adam, legitmate son of the late Jean Kuhner, who was a citizen of this place, and of Christine his legitmate wife, still living, a cordwainer and ..... and Anne Barbe, legitimate unmarried daughter of Batholom Sigrist a weaver, of this place, and of Barbe his legitimate wife. Based on his marriage record in Baldenheim, which names his parents as Jean Kuhner and Christine, I removed Peter Keener and Catherine Ulrich as his parents.
