Biography

William was at home through the 1870 census.

1877 1st Marriage

See photo. William marries Elizabeth Walker. Elizabeth is the daughter of Daniel & Mary Walker and the sister of Harriett Walker-11543 Keeney. See Harriet's profile for more information on the Walker family. William and Elizabeth were married in her parent's home. The marriage was attested/witnessed by P.M. Walton-1607 and F. Doll (Frederick Doll will be a next door neighbor on the 1880 census and the father of William's 2nd wife.)

Name W R Keeney
Event Date 22 Nov 1877
Event Place West Union, Cass, Missouri, United States
Spouse's Name Elizabeth Walker[1]

1880 Census

See photo. William and Elizabeth are living next door to Frank & Harriet. Nearby is the young family of Lee Ann's brother-in-law Samuel Walton-1614.

Name W R Keeney
Event Place Union Twp., Cass, Missouri, United States
Household Role Gender Age Birthplace
W R Keeney Self M 26 Missouri, United States
E E Keeney Wife F 21 Illinois, United States[2]

1892 2nd Marriage

See photos. Elizabeth is assumed to have died by 1892. I have found no death record or indication of divorce. Mollie (Mary) Doll is with her family next door to the Keeney's on the 1880 census.

Name William R Keeney
Event Place Union Twp., Cass, Missouri, United States
Event Date 06 Nov 1892
Spouse's Name Mollie A Doll[3]

1900 Census

I have not been able to locate this. Some on-line sources note that Mollie died before 1900 but I haven't been able to confirm that. Finding this census would help verify William's marital status and possibly give some leads to if William had any children--as of Jan. 2017, I am unaware of any.

1910 Census

See photo. William is listed as widowed and living with his brother Frank Keeney-554.

1920 Census

See photo. William is listed as single and living nearby his sister Lee Ann Keeney-444 Walton.

1925 Death

See DC. Lee Ann is the informant.
